中国人口老龄化已迈入快速发展阶段。根据国家统计局统计，2018年全国65岁以上的老龄人口已超过1亿6千万人，占总人口的11.9%，而这一数据在2013年仅为9.7%。中国老龄人口飞速增长以及人口向城市的进一步聚集，使得养老服务行业特别是机构养老在城市面临的土地和资源限制愈加突出。于此同时，大多数的老年人希望在自己熟悉的居家环境接受照料。在资源限制和老年人意愿的共同影响下，以社区/居家养老作为更符合我国国情的养老主流方式已成为业界共识。

Modern Aging China assisted HSBC and NPI to hold a press release for the Shanghai Community/Home Care Service Report

The aging population in China is undergoing a rapid growth. China National Bureau of Statistics shows that in 2018 the population of age above 65 has exceeded 160 million, accounting for 11.9% of the total population, which the same data was only 9.7% in 2013. Adding upon the urbanization progress, constraints on land and resources for aging industry in major cities are becoming more prominent. Meanwhile, the needs from the elderly to receive care at home should not be neglected. “Aging in Place” is the new concept designed to solve such challenges.

To promote the concept of Aging in Place, Modern Aging China assisted HSBC (Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation) and NPI (Non-Profit Incubator) to hold a press release for the Shanghai Community/Home Care Service Report. We invited industry experts and innovative startups in the aging sector to join the discussion of how to build an efficient and high quality service system with sustainable business models.
